You start with a small base, then you have to capture neighboring areas, build cities, and create walls and ports while controlling the resources efficiently to develop your empire.
The aim? To control 72% of the map before the others do. The way to achieve that is either through clever diplomacy, or it may be the other way around – being an absolute and merciless warlord.

FrontWars.io is a simple game to start, yet it requires a great deal of tactical thinking and expertise. Here is a fast guide to help you with the initial steps:
- Expand Your Base: Take over areas around you and gradually grow your area of control.
- Build Smartly: Construct cities, walls, and ports to augment your economy and defense.
- Balance Resources: Carefully control your population, army, and supplies so as not to face a collapse.
- Form Alliances (or Break Them): Cooperation with others could be a way to eliminate strong opponents; however, make sure you have a good plan to betray them at the right time.
- Control the Map: The winner is the one who manages to conquer 72% of the world map.
FrontWars.io Controls & Hotkeys
Being able to handle the controls very well will give you a great advantage on the battlefield:
- WASD: Move the camera.
- Q / E: Zoom in or out.
- C: Center the camera on your player.
- Shift + Left Click: Attack (if left click opens the menu).
- Cmd + Left Click: Open the build menu.
- \ + Left Click: Open emote menu.
- 1 / 2: Decrease or increase the attack ratio.
- Shift + Mouse Wheel: Quickly adjust the attack ratio.
- Space: Alternate between rural landscapes and other types of terrain.
