What is Splatoon?
Splatoon is a third-person shooter franchise developed by Hisashi Nogami and Shintaro Sato and owned, developed, and published by Nintendo. The game is set in a future, post-apocalyptic Earth that is inhabited by developed marine life.

Players control two main races:
- Inklings - Squid-based human character
- Octolings - octopus -based human character
Both can change between humanoids and saphalopod forms, leading to unique movement and fighting ability.
In Splatoon, players do not just hold weapons to eliminate enemies-they use ink-based weapons to cover the battlefield in their team's color. The team that paints the largest area with its ink wins the match.
